Two fashionshows, six models, one store. There’s still a lot of preparing to do on the day itself: hair and make-up for the models, fittings, goodiebags and guestlists check… you name it, we’ve done it.

No one is calm before a fashionshow, except for the models. Dressers are nervous about getting the models ready in time for their next round. Accessories and shoes are flying in all directions… The stylists and models are running around, but pumped up to set foot on the catwalk.

Both shows went well and the crowd was amazing. Thank you to everyone who came out! We’ll see you at the next fashionshow!

Welikefashion.com’s crew has been busy the past few weeks planning, working and preparing for this season’s edition of the fashion show. We were extremely excited about showing the Fall/Winter 2009 collection.

All the tension built up to friday september 25th. The day of the show was filled with glamour, fashion and hard work. We still had a lot of preparing to do on d-day. Hanging up the curtains, making sure the purple carpet was set, goodiebags check and getting the store ready for two fashion shows.

Stylists Esmee and Miriam put together 19 outfits that defined Welikefashion.com’s fall/winter collection to the bone. This season is all about the boyfriend blazer, prints, leather, sequin, ruches, dresses, bold accessories and a lot of glamour! Stay tuned for a backstage report as well!

WLF Fashion Show

The Fashion TV party was held on september 19th at The Post in Rotterdam. Two lucky readers won tickets to attend the party. One of the winners sent in her report of the evening.

“Me and my friend Tatiana went with two other party addicts to the Fashion TV party and had a smashing time. We even got filmed by the Fashion TV crew, so you might see us dancing in the crowd!
The crowd represented a great variety of people and we really got inpired by some great looks.
Several DJ’s entertained us and the location (a real post office) looked really trendy with it’s white design interior and stylish coloured ligths.
Tip: if you visit Rotterdam soon, take a look at the museum Boijmans van Beuningen, to smell the new flavour of Viktor & Rolf at the exposition: Art of Fashion. We combined a visit with the party for a perfect day.”

The colder season of the year is just around the corner. Should we be scared? Not really… because we can wrap ourselves in chunky knitwear this fall.

There are several ways to wear chunky knits. First off as an accessory. Throw on a huge knitted scarf as an eye catcher and to keep yourself nice and warm. The bigger the better! Then there’s the sweater and cardigan knitted look: invest in oversized vests this season.

We’ve left the statement necklace behind us, and are moving on to the statement ring: big, bold and shiny! You can’t go wrong with chunky accessories this season.
