must-have: poncho attitude

This poncho brightens up the grayest days. The colours, fringes and flower print complete the whole picture.

We bet you’re thinking that the poncho won’t keep you warm in these cold days. ‘That’s not true. Just throw on the poncho over your jacket. And finish off your look with a pair of blue jeans. Hereby you’re keeping the whole outfit simple and putting the focus on the poncho.

catwalktrend: inspired by warriors

There’s a fierce trend up ahead, inspired by warriors and it’s a combination of the military and tribal trend.

Metal platings, studs, leather fabrics and tribal motifs are the right ingredients. Mix the warrior look with sequins or soft fabrics for a feminine touch.

catwalktrend: one-shoulder dresses

Even though it’s getting more chilly outside, we definitely want to show a little skin! The one shoulder dress ruled Calvin Klein’s runway as well as Lanvin and Chloé.

The asymmetrical style of the dress makes it ultra feminine. Besides its sexiness (by showing some skin), the subtle glow of the fabric adds glamour. And with the holidays in sight, we could all use a little bit of glamour to shine!

celebstyle: becki newton

Who ever thought washed denim (aka tie dye) would make its comeback to the fashion world. But nevertheless, it’s here and here to stay.

Tie dye has a rock feel to it, not the “I just rolled out of bed look”. Combine a dress like Becki’s with a leather jacket for a more sophisticated look. You could wear pumps or a pair of biker boots under this outfit. Eitherway, you’ll look smashing!

must-have: bag ruffle

Ruffles are everywhere and we just can’t get enough of them. Ruffles can really liven up a dull outfit. It adds a level of chicness and simplicity.

The art is to keep the rest of your outfit simple; don’t overdo. For instance don’t wear ruffles on ruffles. You don’t want to be covered in ruffles all over. It takes away the whole effect.

catwalktrend: headbands

Anna Sui’s Fall/Winter catwalkshow was truly a pleasure to watch. We saw many colours and prints in the collection. But other than that she has a great eye for details. So was head apparel abundantly present. Besides it being a eyecatcher, it certainly keeps you warm as well. The caps were decorated with feathers, gems and lace.

We love to stand out but we’ll stick to the more wearable headbands, also garnished with feathers and gems.
