The show gave a great view on a new season of fashion with a Scandinavian twist. The nonchalant, uber chic Norrback snit was there in all it’s glory showing that feminine doesn’t have to mean bodycon. The new men’s line was also launched, from a fashion point of view it was very good but we wonder if the down-to-earth Dutch men will be open minded enough to wear this collection.

Sitting front row at Mada van Gaans gave us a good view of her gorgeous, feminine collection. The color palette was a dream with night blue, chic grey and pale red (oh, how we loved the combined tones of red). Wool dresses were key pieces of the collection, paired with sky high heels.
Pixie Lott, Karl Lagerfeld’s new muse, knows how to combine 80’s shoulders with the new color trend; neutrals and powders. With a comfy scarf against the January breeze, it could be the best outfit to go for this moment. Don’t forget the black nail polish if you love some rock influence. What would be her next stop? Maybe a trendy café for a nice lunch?
The debut of rookie Mattijs at the Amsterdam International Fashion Week, contained fashionable but wearable designs. Mattijs designed a lot of pleated dresses in black and red, combined with golden belts and bracelets. Other eye-catching details were ruffles and frayed ends.
After showing in Paris, Jan Taminiau opened the Amsterdam International Fashion Week stunningly last night. Dominating the catwalk were nude colors and different shades of metallic. The models wore extremely high, wedge heels; the new trend for the season to come. To see more of the Jan Taminiau show click here.
Victoria Koblenko (actress, traveler, dreamer) wore D&G at the ELLE Style Awards 2010 last week in The Hermitage in Amsterdam. The shoes are her own design. The bag ‘Ceci est un IT Bag’ is by Longchamp. We love her look!
Rihanna is glowing in a fabulous lace Jean Paul Gaultier dress and De Grisogono jewels at the 11th Annual NRJ Music Awards at Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, last Saturday. The singer picked up the award for International Female Artist of the Year.
Designer Philip Lim surely delivered for his Spring 2010 collection. Browsing through his collection we came across a very beautiful colour for the upcoming spring season: coffee. The dress in the coffee based colour is sophisticated but also has a playful side because of the loose neckline. You can combine the colour with just about any colour: brown, black or even bright colours for an extra effect.
British beauties Elizabeth Hurley and Alexa Chung wore the same Versace dress. Elizabeth at the GQ Men of the Year Awards and Alexa (in a shortened version) for the Whitney gala in N.Y.C.
