It’s about time we stow away our nice, thick and warm coats back in the closet… far far away. And the only thing we just need now are trenchcoats. They’re hot on the catwalks especially in a nude or neutral color like the ones from Burberry. And blue is a surprising favourite as well.
But the most important thing is that you wear one that you feel comfortable in. Style it off with a dress, skirt or a pair of jeans. Almost anything (if not anything) is possible with a trenchcoat.

Cardigans are comfortable and they’ve shifted to a basic item in the last few years. It’s easy (and above all fast) to put on a tee or blouse and throw over a cardi and belt for a ultra feminine waistline. We’re sure you’ve all had those days where you’re just in a hurry and don’t have time to pick your outfit. That’s where cardigans come in handy. And that’s why we love cardi’s so much.

Even though the sky is still grey outside we’re not letting it get us down. We’re ready for spring. And it’s time to work the more lighter and softer shades now. Think of white and pastel colors. We’re excited to wear these lovely colors. Combine it with jeans or keep it in the same colour-area and go for grey. You’ll look absolutely stunning!

Look out for the small details this season: golden details, copper coloured buttons and detailed vests. This is the base of the military trend. You can also create a military rock-look with skinny pants or shiny leggings. Go feminine by wearing a red military jacket and combine with golden accessories.

The traditional flowerprints make their comeback every summer over and over. But this summer it’s time to focus on more modern prints. Go dizzy or futuristic like the designer Proenza Schouler did. Mix it up or stick to just one print. But let it be clear that it’s all about showing your wild side!

Designer Philip Lim surely delivered for his Spring 2010 collection. Browsing through his collection we came across a very beautiful colour for the upcoming spring season: coffee. The dress in the coffee based colour is sophisticated but also has a playful side because of the loose neckline. You can combine the colour with just about any colour: brown, black or even bright colours for an extra effect.

A.F. Vandevorst’s Spring collection shouts it out: nude! When worn correctly it looks absolutely amazing. Nude goes well with earthy tones (brown, taupe) and can be brightened up with sequins and golden accessories. We can’t wait for those hot summer days to wear a nude-coloured dress with brown leather flipflops and golden accessories.

It’s still on top of our list this year: the boyfriend blazer. Why? Because it’s so easy to pull off. You take a blazer that’s a few sizes larger than your own size, a basic top and jeans. And you’re ready to go. It’s as simple as that.
Going to work? Try pairing the blazer up with a skirt, and to make it more exciting add a belt for a tighter waistline (as shown on the catwalk photo).

Hot off the catwalk at Hermes: the sporty look. A new year means new resolutions. If one of your goals is going to the gym more often why not go in style?
Everyone can pull off this look; wear a bit of loose clothing. For instance combine a sweater with a skirt or pair of pants. Throw on a blazer for a chic look. Doesn’t this make you feel like heading to the gym?
